Shine is operated by founder Shawn McGinness. A native of Edwardsville, Illinois, Shawn grew up in his family’s credit and collections business and learned early the unique issues faced by credit and collections professionals. Since that time, Shawn has owned and operated several businesses, and advised dozens of others. He is a frequent speaker on the subjects of technology, process improvement, and strategy. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and renovating their old house.

Shawn is passionate about merging the rigor and efficiency of good process design with the humanness and creativity of business management. He believes that the most successful organizations are concerned with more than earnings, and he is elated to work with credit grantors, accounts recovery professionals, and healthcare providers across the nation.
